How to Get Medals


I get medals by attacking level 10 valleys with one of each unit and 30,000 archers.

For all valley levels, do not send a huge army, you will not get a medal!

It has to be a fair and close fight.

Use a Scout in your Army

Q : Should I attack higher level valleys/NPCs?
--On the newer servers like 67 this seems to be the case. Other wise no.
Q : Should my hero should have a low ATK score ?
--No, nothing about your hero effects the drop rate.
Q : Should I make sure it has fully regenerated its troops?
--It increases your chances of getting a medal.

Note: Intelligence affects medal drop rates. The higher your hero's intelligence, the greater your chances of getting medals (not real on S67 but u still can do it !)

2) Rose - Level 1-4 Valleys
3) Lion - Level 5+ Valleys | Level 1-3 NPCs
4) Honor - Level 8+ Valleys | 1-4 NPCs
5) Courage - Level 1-5 NPCs
6) Freedom - Level 4-5 NPCs
7) Wisdom - Level 5+ NPCs
9) Justice/Nation - Level 10 NPCs

Courage Medal


Courage Medals increase a hero's loyalty by 25 when rewarded and is used for hero persuasion.

Courage Medals can be obtained by attacking higher level valleys (level 6 or higher) and NPC cities level 1 and higher.

Cross Medal



Cross
Medals increase a hero's loyalty by 5 when rewarded and is used for
hero persuasion. Beside as award given to heroes, it can also be used
in the Persuasion of rival heroes. You will have a greater chance of obtaining these medals by attacking Level 1-5 valleys.

Freedom Medals



Freedom Medals increase a hero's loyalty by 40 when rewarded and is used for hero persuasion.
The can be found in Swamps and Flatlands -- Usually in levels 5, 6, and 7. Also in Barbarian medium level cities 4 & 5.

Honor Medal


Honor Medals increase a hero's loyalty by 20 when rewarded and are used for hero persuasion.

They can be found by attacking level 4-7 valleys, currently more
often in Grasslands. Drop rates are currently around 30%. These medals
have also been found in Level 1-4 & 10 NPC Cities.

My experience is that I received Honor medals almost exclusively from level 7-9 grasslands, and even then it was rare.

Justice Medals



Justice Medals increase a hero's loyalty by 50 when rewarded and is used for hero persuasion.

Justice medals are only obtained by attacking any NPC cities that are level 10.

Lion Medal



Lion Medals increase a Hero's loyalty by 15 when rewarded and is used for hero persuasion. Besides
as award given to heroes, it can also be used in the Persuasion of rival heroes.

Lion Medals can be obtained by attacking valleys or cities.
The level of the valley is of minor significance, as any valley (from Level One and up) will drop this medal. Attacking Levels 1-4 Barbarian towns also give this medal.
The Medal can also be obtained by attacking a level 2-4 lake.

Nation Medal



Nation Medals increase a hero's loyalty by 60 when rewarded and is used for hero persuasion.

Rose Medal



Rose Medals increase a Hero's loyalty by 10 when rewarded. They are important in the beginning of the game for promotions.

It is recommended to save Rose medals for promotion, and not give them to your Heroes.

Later on in the game Rose Medals can be used to ensure the loyalty of Heros, and to persuade rival heros.

Rose Medals can be obtained by attacking lower level vallies and
cities. The level doesn't necessarily matter, but most of the time
they are found in level 1-3 lakes, swamps, and grasslands.

Wisdom Medal


Wisdom Medals increase a hero's loyalty by 30 when rewarded and is used for hero persuasion.

They can be found in high level valleys 7-10 or level 5+ NPCs.

Recently, I conducted an experiment. I attacked many valleys/NPCs, and found the best/easiest ways to earn these medals.
1. Attack any level 5 NPC with 350-500 ballistae (depending on your heros attack level & research & ....)
2. Attack any level 7 valley with at least 3,000 archers.
3. Attack any level 8 valley with at least 7,500 archers.
4. Attack any level 6 valley with at least 1,500 archers.

Drop Rates

The drop rates on these servers (55 and higher) are no doubt the worst. The drop rate has been estimated at best a 5% drop rate. You probably will get a medal every 75-100 attacks on these servers.

Finding Medals

Option 1:
Most Effective
On these servers the best way to get medals is by attacking only level
10 valleys with 30k archers only if they do not have archers and
cavalry in them. So
you will need to scout them with 1k scouts and with level 10 informatics.

Option 2:
Most Effective
Go throw the Drop Rates and the Rulebook ! (every thing on Top of this page)

Option 3:
Rapidly attacking level 5+ valleys by sending multiple attacks at the
same valley. This is not the best strategy, but it does work sometimes.

Option 4 :
In this option you have to attack a valley with 100% warriors and attack that valley every hour.

Extra Tips

• In these strategies you are doing a lot of attacking at one time so you need a high level rally spot and feasting hall.
  
• So far the best troop to use is warriors and archers.
  
• These are the only servers where scout spams do not work at all as far as I know.( but i still DO it ) lol
  

In conclusion the drop rates are so low on newer servers it can even get tough collecting consistent data. That is why
many "theories" come about, but these three options are proven to work on most newer servers.
